The Centre for
Psychoanalysis will be hosting a visiting scholar from Al-Farabi Kazakh
National University from May 15th to the 19th. Dr Aliya Abesheva is teaching in the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science, with particular research interests in psychoanalysis and psychology.
She will be giving an open lecture titled 'Social Alienation and the Problem of the Destruction of the Subject in Freud's Conception of Neurosis'.
